I stand for Wairarapa DHB, better service and
focused management:
I support reduced working hours for doctors.
I support wage increases for nursing and aged care
staff.
I support the Scottish Childsmile programme for
children's teeth.
I support the better U.S. Long Term 2 (LT2) Standard
for water treatment, and cessation of hypochlorous
acid (chlorine) dosing to reduce cancer and heart
failure rates.
I support antioxidant treatments for cancers, for
improved outcomes.
I support expanded mental health services and
magnesium glycinate treatments.
I support reduced air pollution to lower the
incidence of breast cancer in women and heart
failure in men.
I support lower salaries for the CEO and Board
members.
I am 64, married, and my tertiary qualifications are
Dip.BS (Building Surveying) and B.Arch
(Architecture).
I have many years experience in project and contract
management, and have the skills necessary for fiscal
responsibility at Board level.
In addition to the above:
My focus:
I believe that as a community our focus should be on
getting the basics right.
I see the role of our DHB as working with local
councils so that together we can make Wairarapa a
healthier place in which to live.
This will involve changes to the Aims of our DHB to
make it more in tune with our local needs rather
than simply copying Ministry policy.
I believe that better health can transform our DHB
by reducing demands for health care and improving
service while staying within our funding budget.
I hope you will allow me to represent you to achieve
these changes.
This page is still under development so please check
in as we get closer to election day.
